This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Following an almost year-long stint in early access, Media Molecule’s Dreams is releasing fully this week, bring a story mode to compliment the suite of creation tools. In case you were wondering how much time to set aside, here’s everything you need to know about how long Dreams’ story mode takes to beat (Art’s Dream).

Until the full launch, Dreams only featured the creator tools and player made levels, with the promise of a story mode being made from the start. That story mode is called Art’s Dream and, according to Media Molecule, it “follows former jazz musician Art as he dreams about his life, past and present, and realizes he needs to make amends with his fellow bandmates. “

It was made entirely using the creator tools you can use in-game, so it acts as a tutorial of sorts and an example of what exactly is possible. You’ll be able to find it at the top of the Dream Surfing section of the game and should probably be the first thing you try if you’re new to Dreams.

It’s not actually too long either. According to Media Molecule themselves, the story mode is a “feature film length adventure” so you can expect it to be somewhere around the two to three hour mark.

While that might not be long for a game’s story mode, with how many other smaller levels and games that can be played, it’s not the limit of Dreams’ content.

We are yet to play the entirety of Art’s Dream ourselves just yet, so if the two to three hour estimation if off the mark, we’ll be sure to let you know. Since that comes from Media Molecule themselves though, it’ll probably be bang on.

That’s everything you need to know about how long Dreams’ story mode takes to beat (Art’s Dream). For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite, we’ll also have a wiki guide once the full game is out, so look out for that.
