Is There a First-Person View in Fortnite Battle Royale

Recommended Videos

If you’ve been looking for something to scratch that PUBG itch but haven’t got a PC, then good news! Fortnite Battle Royale brings a free-to-play experience that’s clearly heavily inspired by Bluehole’s title to both the Xbox One and PS4, as well as PC. As you’re dropped into the cartoon-styled world of Fortnite Battle Royale, you’ll automatically be put into a third-person view, and many players are wondering if there’s a first-person view you can change to.

Unfortunately, we have to be the bearers of bad news this time around as Fortnite Battle Royale doesn’t have a first-person view. This was answered over on the Fortnite Battle Royale FAQ on the Epic Games forums. However, in answering the question, Epic Games did leave some wiggle room, suggesting that it could be added into the game in the future.

Will you add a first-person option?
No. We’re not planning to add a first-person option. We don’t feel it fits with the design style of Fortnite. We may revisit in the future.

All you can do now is politely let Epic Games know your opinion and hope that they listen.
