Final Fantasy 7 Remake: How to Holster Your Weapon

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Momma always taught you as a kid to never run around with scissors in your hand. By that logic, in the world of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you should never run around holding a giant sword in front of you when you don’t need to use it, let alone allow Cloud to run around holding his Buster Sword after a big battle. Here’s how to holster your weapon in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Well, there’s some good and bad news on the weapon holstering front. The good news is that Cloud will automatically put his sword away whenever you’re out of combat. He’ll wield it again whether you press the Square button when nobody is around, and takes it out again automatically when he encounters his enemies.

At least he’s not letting that big ol’ blade get in the way when he’s running about. Just like scissors, we’d imagine there are some health and safety concerns about running around with an enormous sword.

The bad news is that you cannot just holster your weapon whenever you want. The game simply takes care of holstering weapons in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, so you can just focus on the action. It may only be a small detail but some players are sure to appreciate not having to put weapons away all the time.
