For starters, it’s almost Valentine’s Day, and it’s time to celebrate it in the world of Eorzea. Here’s how to start the Valentione’s Day 2020 event in FFXIV.

How to Start the Valentione’s Day 2020 Event in FFXIV

Every year, towards the end of January and beginning of February, FFXIV players will get to participate in the Valentione’s Day seasonal event, and this year is no different. The premise of this quest is to choose one of three candidates to be Eorzea’s Emissary of Love, and the Warrior of Light will need to evaluate them based on the kind of advice they give to a lovelorn NPC.

Before you get started with this quest, you need to progress through the main story in A Realm Reborn until you complete the quest It’s Probably Pirates. You should hit level 15 by this point, which is the minimum level requirement for the quest.

After that, head to Gridania, go to the Old Gridania section, and talk to the NPC at the coordinates X: 10.3, Y: 9.5.

After that, it’s just a matter of following the objective markers in Gridania and listening to the kind of advice that the three candidates have to offer. At the end of the quest, you’ll need to cast your vote for the candidate whom you think had the best advice. All votes will be tallied at the end of the event, and that’s when we’ll learn which candidate gets to become the Emissary of Love.

Completing this event rewards you with a cosmetic coffer for a new outfit, and you can also do the repeatable Valentione’s Day quest at the theater for extra rewards like cookies.
