How to Change Colors

To change your chocobo colors, you’ll need access to a stable. You can purchase a stable for your own estate if you’re a homeowner in FFXIV, but considering how difficult it can be to purchase a house, the easiest way to gain access to a stable is by joining a Free Company and using the stable at your FC house instead.

Alternatively, if you own an apartment, you can also make use of the stable located outside of the apartment building. Simply interact with the stable to place your chocobo there, then choose the option to tend to your chocobo and feed it fruits.

After you’ve given it its first fruit, you’ll have six hours to feed it a series of fruits to get the desired color. After those six real-time hours, you’ll see the color change.

The easiest way to figure out which fruits to feed your chocobo is by checking the color calculator and keying in your starting and desired colors. The fruits can be purchased from the marketboard or through gardening, and make sure to follow the feeding order on the results page of the color calculator so that the process goes smoothly.

That’s all you need to know about all the chocobo colors available in FFXIV and how to change them. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
