How to Turn on Your Flashlight in Fallout 76

The wasteland of West Virginia is teeming with sights to see, mutated creatures to kill, and neat weaponry to add to your arsenal. All of this, however, will require you to scavenge its many buildings and seek out the treasures within. Of course, the sun doesn’t always shine on Appalachia, so chances are it could get a little difficult to see what you’re doing in the dark. Here’s how to turn on your flashlight in Fallout 76.

The ability to turn off and on your flashlight doesn’t require you to find some item out in the wasteland. It’s actually been on your wrist this entire time. That’s right, your Pip-Boy has a built-in flashlight that you can toggle on and off at the press of a button.

All you need to do is press and hold the Circle button when out exploring the wasteland on PS4, or press and hold B on Xbox One to turn on your flashlight. It’s only a very slight hold down you’ll need to do, and within no time at all your surroundings will be illuminated in a soft green glow.

While having this on during the daytime isn’t going to drain your Pip-Boy’s battery or anything in Fallout 76, you may still want to turn it off all the same. After all, a slight luminous green tint to everything can get a little annoying after a while. To turn off your flashlight, it’s as simple as pressing and holding Circle or B again, just the same as you did to turn it back on. And just as fast as it turned on, your flashlight will be off again.

There’s not really a whole lot else you need to know to turn on your flashlight in Fallout 76.
