Does Fallout 76 Beta Progress Carry Over to the Full Game? What You Need to Know

Recommended Videos

Fallout 76 has finally hit the Xbox One in its BETA (Break-it Early Test Application) form, allowing players to hop in and explore the wondrous post-apocalyptic world of West Virginia just after the bombs have dropped. While there are still some bugs and hitches that Bethesda is hoping to iron out during these stress test periods, some players may be wondering whether or not your Fallout 76 beta progress carries over to the full game. Well, let us give you a quick and easy answer to that.

Long story short, yes, your Fallout 76 beta progress will carry on over to the full game. According to the beta FAQ over on the official website, the Fallout 76 beta is the full game, but it might just be in a bit of an unpolished state still while things are being finalized and the entire game is stress tested. “The B.E.T.A is the full game. Our current plan is for your progress to carry over once Fallout 76 officially launches on November 14. Stay tuned for more information.”

It’s worth noting here that the FAQ specifically states that this is the ‘current plan,’ suggesting this could be subject to change if Bethesda comes across a problem during the beta testing. Here’s hoping that’s not the case, and we can all hop into the action and give ourselves a nice head start ahead of the official launch next month.

Should Bethesda make an announcement suggesting that Fallout 76 beta progress will not carry over to the full game, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. Until then, you can pour hours into the beta, knowing that it’s not just wasted time out in the West Virginian wasteland.

One issue that players may have come across when trying to access the Fallout 76 beta so far might be the ‘account lacks required entitlements‘ error when trying to log in. This isn’t anything wrong with your account, it’s simply just letting you know that the servers aren’t turned on for the game yet. Bethesda is only allowing players to hop in at certain times in order to stress test the servers to hopefully provide a smoother gameplay experience for everyone come the official release day on Nov. 14.

That’s all you need to know regarding whether or not your Fallout 76 beta progress will carry over to the full game. For more tips, tricks, and information on Bethesda’s shared world RPG, be sure to search for Twinfinite, and keep your eyes peeled for our Fallout 76 guide wiki coming soon.
