The first thing you need to know is that you have to get Escape From Tarkov from a very specific place. It’s a PC only game, as you’d expect from such a hardcore shooter, but it isn’t available from any of the popular PC launchers. You can only get access to the game from the developer’s official website.

To get access to the game, head to the website we linked to above and click on the ‘Beta is available, Pre-order Escape From Tarkov’ message in the middle of the screen, which we’ve screenshotted below.

This will take you to another page which shows you all the versions of the game that are available. Since the game is in early access, you need to pre-order it, but doing so is the only way to get access to the closed beta.

Every version of the game gives you instant access to the closed beta. The four Escape From Tarkov versions offer different amounts of in-game bonuses, so decide which one you want.

When you click on ‘pre-order’ under the version you want, you’ll be asked to sign into your account for the Escape From Tarkov website, or create one, before you complete the purchase.

Then, once you’re signed in, you’ll be able to work through all the usual online purchasing stuff and download the beta before jumping in. You should then be all ready to go in the Escape From Tarkov Closed Beta.
