How to Uncover More of the Map in Dynasty Warriors 9

Recommended Videos

Dynasty Warriors 9 is the latest entry in the hack and slash series, featuring a new, fully explorable open world. Players can explore China on their own terms, be it by foot or even by boat. That said, it’s best to uncover more of the map to learn more about your surroundings instead of rushing in blindly.

To lift the fog of war in Dynasty Warriors 9, you’ll have to climb Watchtowers or seek out Waymarkers scattered throughout the map. Touching one will light up the surrounding areas and even bring up several points of interest, such as bonfires. That way, you’ll have a better idea of where to go and which areas you can fast travel to.

Take note that you’ll still have to visit the bonfires on your map to actually use them as a fast travel point. Simply touching the Watchtowers or Waymarkers isn’t enough to activate these points, so make sure you’re prepared for the trek. Once you unlock fast travel points and uncover more of the map, moving around the open world shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
