While Dirt 5 is a move away from the simulation gameplay that it’s known for, many of the same mechanics remain. While the default option sees the camera placed a few yards behind and above the car you’re controlling, everyone has a preference. So that you can switch to the one you feel more comfortable with, here’s everything you need to know about how to change camera view in Dirt 5.
There are six different camera view options in Dirt 5: a couple in different positions behind the car, a few on the hood/bottom of the front bumper, and an option from behind the steering wheel if you want to feel like you’re really in control of the car.
How to Change Camera View in Dirt 5
To switch between each of the options, you just need to press L1 if you’re on PlayStation (LB on Xbox) and it’ll cycle through the options as you press it.
To get from the default option to the one you want, it may take a few presses of the button, so try and do so when you’re on a straight and not going around a corner, since that’ll reduce the chances of you crashing.
If you press it too many times, you’ll have to go around again to get back to it, so do so carefully. It can be done at any time though, so if you’re just wanting to try one out, you won’t be stuck with the camera view if you learn you don’t like it.
