How to Play Online Multiplayer in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory

Recommended Videos

You may feel like you have the best team of Digimon around as you make your way through the main story in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth Hacker’s Memory, but you’ll never really know how solid your squad is until you put them to the real test. In Hacker’s Memory, you’ll have the option to go up against other players online in ranked matches to see who is truly the best of the best. Online multiplayer matches will immediately expose you to new ways to use items, battle strategies you would never have thought of and a level of sheer challenge that forces you to test your wit. Battling against AI often boils down to a matter of how much grinding you were able to get in before the big battle, but competing against other players becomes far more of a well-rounded test of wit. Let’s be honest, it’s not impossible to breeze your way through multiple battles in the main story without even having to pay attention to the various types of Digimon on the battlefield. Lose sight of that element in online multiplayer, though, and you’ll be defeated before you can even spell out your Digimon’s name in your head.

If you’re ready to accept the challenge, you’ll need to head on over to the DigiLab. This isn’t available from the very start of the game, so understand that Hacker’s Memory won’t let you just dive into online multiplayer without any experience. Once you play through the game to reach the DigiLab, however, you will receive permission to test your skills online. On the wall in the DigiLab, you’ll notice a red area. This is the area for network battles, which will toss you into online multiplayer matches. You can also earn special rewards by participating in these battles so don’t be afraid to give it a try.

That’s all you’ll need to know in order to play online multiplayer in the game. For more information on Digimon, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
