How to Get Greater Rift Keystones in Diablo 3

Diablo 3 is all about grinding for better loot, and there’s no better way to do that than through Rifts. Once you’ve gotten some decent gear from the normal Rifts in the game, you can start increasing the game’s difficulty and taking a look at the Greater Rifts. In order to access those, you’ll need Greater Rift Keystones. Here’s what you need to know about how to get Greater Rift Keystones in Diablo 3.

First off, you’ll need to at least have done a few normal Rifts. Once you’ve got good legendary gear in Diablo 3, you can start increasing the game difficulty to check out the Torment difficulty levels.

Essentially, once you start playing on Torment I, you’ll have a chance of getting a Greater Rift Keystone drop from killing a Rift Guardian in any normal Rift. To access a Rift, interact with any Nephalem Obelisk on the map to enter. Once inside, kill the Rift Guardian as you normally would to get your Keystone.

If you’re confident in your skills, you can increase the game difficulty even further. The higher the difficulty in Diablo 3, the more Greater Rift Keystones you’ll be able to get from killing Rift Guardians. For instance, if you’re playing on Torment VI to X, you’re guaranteed one Greater Rift Keystone, with a slim chance of getting two. If you start playing on Torment XI, you’re guaranteed two Greater Rift Keystones with every Rift Guardian kill instead.

Oh, and don’t forget that you need to reach the level 70 cap in Diablo 3 before Greater Rift Keystones will start dropping for you.

So if you want to farm Keystones, gear up as much as possible, and start increasing the difficulty level to increase your chances and push yourself out of your comfort zone in Diablo 3.

Greater Rift Keystones can be stacked up to 100 in a single inventory slot, and can be used to access Greater Rifts in Diablo 3, which give you even better loot of course. Just like with normal Rifts, Greater Rifts can also be accessed from Nephalem Obelisks.

However, do note that if you want to tackle a Greater Rift with friends, every player needs to have a Greater Rift Keystone on them in order to participate. The item will be lost once used, even if you manage to complete the Greater Rift quickly.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about how to get Greater Rift Keystones in Diablo 3. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
