How to Go After Higgs in Death Stranding

After you first boss encounter with Higgs in Edge Knot City, he’ll disappear with Amelie and tell you that he’ll be waiting for you on the beach. If you check your map and objectives, you’ll see that there’s no clear way to go after him.

However, the solution is actually deceptively simple.

All you have to do is rest in a Private Room –the closest one is in Edge Knot City, right where you respawn after the boss encounter– so head back there to rest up. Once there, examine the umbrella on the wall next to the weapon rack, and choose the Fragile Jump option.

This will cause Fragile to appear in the Private Room, and a short cutscene will ensue before she sends you off to the beach to continue your fight with Higgs. And that’s basically it.

You’ll be transported to a new area, where the story will continue. Do be warned that you can’t bring any weapons or equipment with you into this encounter, so you’ll definitely want to save your game before getting to Fragile to appear.
