This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is finally here and is treating fans of the popular marsupial to a brand-new adventure that is more in line with the PS1 classic games that put the series on the map. While Crash 4 shares a lot in common with the classics, there are some differences as well. In this game we’ll go over how to save your game in Crash 4.

How to Save in Crash 4

Crash 4 has a lot in common with the PS1 classics. In fact, other than the updated visuals which are obviously appropriate for the current-gen consoles that the game has appeared on, Crash 4 basically just plays like a direct sequel to the PS1 games that made the series so popular. It’s the first game to truly feel like it’s a part of the main series since Crash Bandicoot 3.

However, at the end of the day Crash 4 is a modern game. As such, some features are more modern than they were back in the day. Saving falls into this category.

You don’t have to worry about manually save like you had to do back for the PS1 games; and there are certainly no passwords to memorize either. Remember those?

No, in Crash 4 all your saving is done automatically when you enter and complete levels. That does mean, though, that you cannot create manual saves at any point. That means no saving in between levels, or while walking around the map. So a word of advice: try and finish up a level before turning off the game.

That’s all you need to know about how to save in Crash 4. Hopefully that cleared things up for you if you weren’t sure. For more on Crash 4, you can check out our latest coverage right here.
