Confusing some people with its title, the next Call of Duty game has been revealed. It is a reboot of the classic sub-series and will be called Modern Warfare, releasing on Oct. 25, 2019. However, you may be wondering if the reboot will see the series make its way to other platforms. Here is everything you need to know about whether CoD: Modern Warfare is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Will CoD Modern Warfare (2019) Release on Nintendo Switch?
As of right now, the game has only been confirmed to be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
We don’t know a whole lot about the game, beyond the fact that the single-player is going to be darker and more serious than we have seen in recent years. Even last year, Black Ops 4 didn’t have single-player at all.
We haven’t seen anything else on the multiplayer or a potential follow up to the Blackout battle royale mode, but that information will likely come later in the summer.
As of right now, we haven’t heard anything about a potential Modern Warfare Switch release, and it’s unlikely that we will.
While big, beautiful games can clearly be made to run on Nintendo’s hybrid console, with The Witcher 3 being confirmed at E3 2o19, but no other Call of Duty games have been available on the console before.
The scale of the multiplayer sections of the game would likely be underwhelming on the less powerful system.
However, if anything changes and it is announced that Modern Warfare will be coming to Switch, we’ll be sure to update you here. I wouldn’t keep your fingers crossed though.
That is everything you need to know about whether CoD: Modern Warfare is coming to Nintendo Switch. For more on the game once it releases in October, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
