In order to access Clawswipe Colosseum you’ll need to collect five Cat Shines and fight off Fury Bowser using the Lakeside Giga Bell. The island has five new shines that can be completed immediately upon arrival. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get all of the Cat Shines in Clawswipe Colosseum in Bowser’s Fury.

Clash with Cat Boom Boom
The first shine can be obtained by beating the Colosseum’s first opponent, Cat Boom Boom.
To get into the Colosseum, travel around the right side of the colosseum until you see a small entrance hidden in the water. Swim in and enter the arena to start the fight.
If you’ve fought Boom Boom in Super Mario 3D World’s main game, or in another Mario title, then you know what to expect. Cat Boom Boom extends his arms before rapidly spinning around the arena.
You can either jump on his head or use a ranged attack like a Boomerang Throw or Fireball to deal damage to him. Once he takes damage he’ll hide in his shell and bounce around the arena, just jump out of the way to dodge his attack.
Once he takes enough damage, he’ll continue to spin but will also go invisible, though you can periodically see an outline of him spinning.
Hit him on the head three times, or deal enough damage with your ranged attack to win and claim the shine.

Cat Pom Pom’s Counterattack
After defeating Cat Boom Boom, leave the colosseum and return. You’ll notice the colosseum has been raised. This time, travel along the right side to find some blocks that extend when you ground pound them. Follow along the platforms to find the entrance inside.
Cat Pom Pom also fights the same as she does in the main game. Pom Pom will throw shurikens at you, and will occasionally spawn clones of herself that can be defeated with a single stomp or hit. You’ll notice the real Pom Pom is a slightler darker color than the rest.
Everytime you deal enough damage to her –a stomp or the equivalent fireballs/boomerang hits– she’ll disappear in a cloud of smoke before reappearing with more clones.
Hit her on the head three times, or deal enough damage with your ranged attack to win and claim the shine.

Final Bout with Cat Boom Boom
Once again, leave the colosseum and return to see that it has risen another level. Travel to the right side again and use the blocks to reach the top. You’ll notice the entrance has now been blocked off with a bunch of bricks. Grab the bob-omb on the lower platform to destroy the bricks blocking the entrance off. Just be quick cause it will explode on you if you don’t toss it fast enough.
Once in, you’ll have to face your final opponent… its just Cat Boom Boom again, but this time with spikes!
The fight is essentially the same except now the floor is made up of spike traps that pop up from right to left. Just keep an eye on them and you should be fine.
Take Cat Boom Boom out the same way as the first time and claim the shine.

Five Cat Shine Shards
- The first shine can be found outside the arena to the left in a small window in the water.
2. Once in the arena you can find the next shard in one of the windows on the side. This is the window, though the shard was already obtained before the screenshot was taken.
3. Shard three can be found underneath the arena in a small crevice in the water.
4. Use the cat pad inside the arena to climb up the wall and onto the top of the colosseum. You’ll find the next shard hanging over the side of the top of the colosseum.
5. The last shard can be obtained by flinging yourself across the colosseum using the poll, opposite of the lighthouse.

Blast the Fury Blocks
Once you have risen the colosseum to its max height, you’ll find a small window in the wall on the back of the colosseum being blocked off by Fury blocks.
As always, get Fury Bowser to blast it with his fire breath to destroy the blocks, allowing you to grab the last shine.
