Rice can be used for cooking meals in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which, in turn, can give you a variety of stat boosts depending on the ingredients you throw together and what meal you cook.
Cooking meals can be done by talking to Johannes at the village and selecting the ‘Prepare’ option. You’ll see a large list of foods that can be cooked, but you’ll need the ingredients to cook them (obviously).
You’ll also need rice if you’re going to complete the side quest for Susie in the Supply Post in the village, too.
How to Get Rice in Ritual of the Night
In order to get rice, you’ll first need to get the seeds from Dominique at the Supply Post at the village. These will set you back 100G, but you’ll only need one set if you’re trying to complete the side quest for Susie.
Once you’ve got the rice seeds, you want to head up out of the village and left towards the Galleon Minerva. In the screen right before you reach the Minerva, you’ll spot a farmer. By speaking to him, you’ll be able to hand over your seeds and he’ll grow them for you. Give him the rice seeds, and he’ll have rice for you the next time you visit.
It’s worth noting that the growing process from seeds to finished product requires a little bit of time to have passed in the real world, so don’t expect an immediate return on your seed investment.
