Orisa – GR-IFFON

Orisa’s GR-IFFON skin is a wonderful cosmetic start to the heavy fantasy, and dnd influences that Season 5 revolves around. This concept takes everyone’s favourite warrior of Numbani and reimagines her as a robotic griffon, complete with battle armor and tiny, magical glowing wings. This is the perfect fantasy animal to represent Orisa’s strong will and protective nature and a great way to kick off the Questwatch experience. Orisa’s GR-IFFON skin is available through an automatic unlock at Tier 1 of the Premium Battle Pass.

Zenyatta – Royal Astronomer

Zenyatta’s Royal Astronomer skin is the second skin that automatically unlocks at Tier 1 upon purchasing the Premium Battle Pass. Following many other fun and amusing themes for Zenyatta skins, such as his Nutcracker, Toybot, and Pinnochio skin, Royal Astronomer dresses the Omnic monk up in magical robes that very much suit his mysterious and magical orb abilities. There’s even the addition of some tiny glasses and some facial hair on Zen’s shiny, metallic face, which enhances the concept as a whole.

Echo – Slime Queen

UnloUnlocking at Tier 10 of the Premium Battle Pass is Echo’s new Slime Queen skin. ‘Slimes’ are a relatively common low-difficulty creature in a number of fantasy-themed video games and universes, so this rendition of Echo fits the theme of the Battle Pass perfectly. The choice to include this skin at level 10 also makes it feel as if she’s the first enemy or boss to pop up and defeat along your Battle Pass adventure, and the use of Echo as the Hero for this concept is perfect, with her green body and simplistic facial features mimicking the creatures as if she used her Copy to clone and become one herself.

Genji – Royal Guard

Tier 20 of the Premium Battle Pass grants access to Genji’s Royal Guard skin. This concept takes the younger Shimada brother and has his cyborg ninja attire, trading it in for fantasy-inspired leathers and armor, complete with the helmet of a royal knight.

With Genji’s katana blade sitting comfortably on his back at all times, it would almost be surprising if the Overwatch team missed the opportunity to create a fantasy swordsman variant of the popular DPS Hero for the Season 5 Questwatch theme. Regardless, the skin is the perfect fantasy variant of Genji himself, even using a color palette consisting mostly of similar shades to his Overwatch 2 default skin.

Ana – Polar

This one seems like a bit of an oddity among the heavy fantasy themes of Overwatch 2’s Season 5 Battle Pass. However, Ana’s Polar skin unlocks at Tier 30 as the Premium reward. While this skin may feel a little out of place compared to others, it’s not unusual for each Battle Pass to have one or two skins that seem to disregard the seasonal theme.

This concept takes the renowned healer/sniper, Ana Amari, and dresses her up in bright orange for what appears to be a very cold climate. It’s possible that the orange-heavy color palette is inspired by various snowsuits and bright safety clothing often worn by those navigating snow-heavy environments.

Mei – Alchemist

Diving back into the fantasy theme, players who own the Premium Battle Pass will receive Mei’s Alchemist skin at Tier 40. This skin makes several significant changes to Mei’s usually chilly aesthetic, replacing her signature palette of cool colors with more natural grays, tans, and browns. This concept even gives Mei a new hair color and adds some steampunk-styled goggles on her head, turning her into the perfect fantasy alchemist, complete with Snowball for company.

Tracer – Adventurer

Season 5’s Mythic Hero skin goes out to Tracer, arriving in a new unlockable tier format. Owners of the Premium Battle Pass will obtain parts of this new Adventurer skin at various Tiers of the Battle Pass, with these sections of customizable options being unlocked at Tier 45, 65, and 80.

This concept is the perfect mythic for the Questwatch theme and dnd campaign layout that Season 5 follows, with the first stage of Adventurer Tracer resembling a basic rogue-like character and slowly progressing through stages to a more knight-like appearance, complete with a special magical gem embedded in her armor. This is a very fun progression to watch, as it somewhat mimics the progression of dnd classes, legendary items, and multiclassing.

Wrecking Ball – Honeycomb

Right in the middle of the Battle Pass is Wrecking Ball’s Honeycomb skin, another skin that doesn’t example fit perfectly into the fantasy theme. Despite this, Hammond skins are often quirky and cute, so this is a welcome addition to many.

This skin features a honeycomb pattern painted across Hammond’s mech and a hilarious bumble bee hat worn by the little hampster himself, which will undoubtedly make his heavily sarcastic, robotic voice lines that much more hilarious. Hammond’s Honeycomb skin is unlocked at Tier 50 for those who own the Premium Battle Pass.

Kiriko – Rogue

At Tier 60 of the Premium Battle Pass, players will be rewarded with Kiriko’s rogue skin. This takes the chirpy and sarcastic protector of Kanezaka and dresses her up in dark, mysterious robes, representing the classic rogue aesthetic. This is undoubtedly one of the best Kiriko skins that the game has received thus far, with Kiriko’s use of Kunai and personal attire making the perfect design aspects to convert into a rogueish dagger and cloak. Here’s hoping her Kitsune is as dark and mysterious as the rest of this outfit, as it has been known to change color with certain skins.

Reinhardt – Demon Lord

Reinhardt’s new Demon Lord skin is an unlockable reward given to players who reach Tier 70 of the Premium Battle Pass. This Reinhardt skin is the perfect cosmetic for a big bad villain of Questwatch, turning everyone’s favorite noble shield and hammer-wielding Tank into a fearsome, antagonistic demon. There’s just no denying it; this one is an extremely badass ten out of ten, carrying aesthetic visuals Diablo fans would be proud of.

Pharah – Devil

Pharah’s Devil skin is one of two unique skins available to obtain through the purchase of an Overwatch 2 Season 5 Bundle. At the lowest price, you can purchase the Overwatch 2 Season 5 Starter Pack for around $10 USD, which will grant you the Devil Pharah skin, a Devilmari Weapon Charm, and 1000 Overwatch Coins, giving you enough currency to purchase the Premium Battle Pass.

Alternatively, you can also receive all of the previous rewards plus the Premium Battle Pass, 20 Battle Pass Tier skips, an additional 1000 Overwatch Coins, and Widowmaker’s Dryad skin through the Overwatch 2 Ultimate Battle Pass Bundle, priced at around $30 USD. This skin, in particular, is a very fun spin on Pharah’s personality, seeing her throw away her focus on responsibility and justice for a much more mischievous cosmetic theme.

Moira – Wicked

Moira’s Wicked Skin was highly anticipated throughout Season 4, and now it’s finally up for grabs. This dark and moody Moira cosmetic is available for purchase through the Overwatch Store for 300 Overwatch League Tokens. This rendition of Moira takes the already quite frightening scientist and gives her an even darker appearance, dressing her in very royal blacks, golds, and reds.

She’s even got a crown to emphasize her place as the wicked queen of Talon. Considering Season 5’s fantasy theme, it makes sense that the release of this skin was delayed until now, as it fits alongside everything else very nicely.

Doomfist – Tropical

Doomfist’s Tropical skin is an upcoming Hero cosmetic set to celebrate Overwatch 2’s in-game Summer Games event. The Tropical Doomfist skin will be free-to-earn through completing various Summer Games Challenges, which will likely involve playing various limited-time game modes, as well as Quick Play or Competitive. This is a pretty solid skin, with Doomfist joining the light and beachy theme many other characters have already had the chance to embrace with previous Summer Games events, such as Poolside Ashe, Lifeguard Cassidy, and Mermaid Symmetra.

Mercy – Lifeguard

Mercy’s Lifeguard skin is another upcoming cosmetic set to release in celebration of Overwatch 2’s Summer Games event 2023 and will be available for purchase through the Overwatch 2 store. It’s unknown what the skin will be priced at, but it has been confirmed that it will be available for purchase through a bundle containing an additional Buoy Weapon Charm and Rescue Run Highlight Intros.

With Mercy’s nurturing nature and medical qualifications, this Lifeguard cosmetic seems like a perfect addition to her Hero Gallery. If you’re one who enjoys matching cosmetics with your friends, purchasing this one will also let you match with Pharah’s Lifeguard skin, enabling you to run a lifesaver-themed Pharmercy duo.

Widowmaker – Dryad

Completing the second half of the Season 5 Ultimate Battle Pass bundle is Widowmaker’s new Dryad skin, a gorgeous green floral cosmetic that seems to reimagine the Talon sniper as a fantasy druid species. This skin is available as part of the Ultimate Battle Pass bundle for approximately $30 usd, alongside the Premium Battle Pass, 20 Battle Pass Tier Skips, 2000 Overwatch Coins, Pharah’s Devil skin, and a Devilmari Weapon Charm.

Many of Widowmaker’s skins are very elegant and detail-oriented, and this is no exception. From the beautiful pink flowers weaved into her braid, the outfit created from various plants, and the plant-like decals on her gun, arm guard, and visor all create a gorgeous variant of the beloved character. Remember, adventurers, no one can hide from her sight!
