5 Things to Do After Beating Judgment (Post-Game/End Game)

Mop Up Side Cases and Friend Events

Judgment has a ton of side content to work through, all of which pops up as you’re playing through the dramatic main story. There are 50 friend events and 50 side cases to play through, so needless to say, you might not get to everything before you finish the main story.

Luckily, after beating the game you unlock Premium Adventure, which lets you jump into Kamurocho and play at your leisure. Now you can knock out all those events, and there’s a few that are particularly tricky to get.

One friend event can only be started by playing Mahjong, so if you never did that you’ll be missing it. Another can only be started after being chased by the police twice, which happens when you spend too long on a fight in the city.

Make sure you also check the job boards at the Yagami Detective Agency, Genda Law Office, and Bar Tender, as many of the game’s side cases will pop up on these as you raise your City Reputation level.

As a final tip, make sure you’ve beaten all four of the Keihin Gang Leaders when the Danger level rises, as you’ll need to have done so in order to start the second-to-last side case at the Yagami Detective Agency.

Beat Shin Amon

If you’ve played the Yakuza games (if you haven’t we’ll get to that later), you’ll no doubt be familiar with Amon, the infamous secret boss in nearly every game in the franchise. The mysterious assassin returns in Judgment to challenge Yagami, and this might just be the hardest Amon battle yet.

The boss comes with a whopping seven health bars, and four different phases, with each one getting more dangerous.

Needless to say, you’ll have to go into this battle totally prepared and you’ll, most likely, want to fully upgrade Yagami’s health or attack, or both, to max level.

The hardest part about the Amon battle is that he’ll try and grab you in the first phase, and if he does he’ll steal Yagami’s phone, meaning you can’t use any healing items or anything.

Before the battle make sure you put healing items on your three shortcuts, as you can still use those after your phone is stolen. However, you should do everything you can to make sure Amon doesn’t steal your phone, blitz him with a flurry of attacks and don’t let him get a move in during the first phase.

If you can do that, the rest of the fight will be much much easier since you can heal.

If you manage to beat Amon, you’ll have tackled all the side cases the game has to offer and earned a tidy reward of money in the process.

Date Every Girlfriend

In addition to all the side cases and such, Judgment also has four different girlfriends that Yagami can date. Each of these girls has their own plotline to play through as you raise their affection gauge, lets you play minigames with them, and more.

We have a guide detailing how to date every girlfriend, but believe me when I say each one is worth doing. The writing and story attached to these events can be hilarious, and they’re some of the best side stories in all of Judgment.

Of course, playing through each girlfriend’s story nets you more SP to spend on skills, and dating all four will even reward you with three of the game’s trophies.

Finish the KamuroGo Completion List

The final thing you might want to do after beating Judgment is to complete the lengthy KamuroGo mission list. KamuroGo gives you a ton of different missions to complete based on different shops or world activities, each of which will reward you with SP.

These can be things like defeating a certain amount of enemies with Crane Style or earning a certain amount of money by playing Black Jack.

You can check KamuroGo by opening the main menu and selecting the app, then scrolling through all the various options. If you’re wanting to learn every skill in the game, you’ll need to complete a ton of stuff off of KamuroGo.

In fact, you’ll probably want to take some time to complete missions before taking on Amon, as it’ll help you get a lot of experience to mop up those necessary skills (the 18,000 SP for the final Attack Boost can be rough).

No matter what, though, the KamuroGo list is worth doing as it encourages you to experience every single aspect of Judgment, and see everything the game has to offer.

Play the Yakuza Games

Now many players are probably already familiar with the Yakuza series, but if Judgment is a brand new experience for you, the best thing you can do after beating it is jump into Yakuza.

Judgment uses the same framework and gameplay style of the Yakuza games, and it’s an easy way to springboard into the latter series.

If you’re looking for other PS4 games, the best place to go next is Yakuza 0, a prequel to the franchise that takes place in the 1980s.

After that you have Yakuza Kiwami and Yakuza Kiwami 2, the latter of which is also built on Judgment’s Dragon Engine, meaning similar physics and style.

These two games are remakes of the very first two Yakuza games, and if you end up liking them there’s so much more to jump into.

In terms of differences, the main character of Yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu, is a much more visceral fighter than Yagami, relying on sheer brute force and strength.

The stories of the Yakuza games still have a similar feel, focusing on crime drama with tons of twists and turns. If you like Judgment, it’s pretty likely that you’ll love Yakuza.
