Easiest PS4 Platinum Trophies of 2019

Life Is Strange 2

Recommended Videos

With the release of Life Is Strange 2′s fifth episode at the tail-end of 2019, the whole series is now available for players to enjoy. The story follows Sean and Daniel Diaz, two brothers who, after some unexplained supernatural events and a run-in with a policeman, must travel across the country on-the-run.

It’s full of the usual Life Is Strange goodness. An excellent soundtrack, narrative-driven gameplay, choices that lead you down one of many branching paths, and unforgettable characters. On top of that, Life Is Strange 2 also has a bunch of incredibly easy achievements.

In each of the game’s five episodes, players simply need to get all the collectibles, start one sketch as Sean, and complete the episode. Considering we’ve got collectibles guides for the episodes, you merely need to complete the game and occasionally take a minute to nab a collectible and you’re looking at one of the easiest PS4 platinum trophies of 2019.

Grass Cutter – Mutated Lawns

Here it is, the big GOTY contender we’ve all been talking about… Grass Cutter – Mutated Lawns. Okay, you caught us out, it’s not really a GOTY contender, but just a puzzle game with an incredibly easy platinum trophy.

Simply put, you have to mow the grass while avoiding all kinds of enemies and obstacles. You can also blow stuff up. Yes, it’s a really bizarre premise for a game.

Grass Cutter’s trophy list isn’t just easy, it’s filled with silver and golds, which we certainly won’t turn our noses up at. Only four are bronze, but you can grind every trophy pretty easily if you don’t happen to obtain them naturally.

The whole thing takes no more than an hour to beat and get the platinum trophy, making it an easy pick for the easiest platinums of 2019.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

The Walking Dead The Final Season Ending

While Telltale Games never truly got to finish what it started with The Walking Dead: The Final Season, the fine folk over at Skybound Games ensured that the final chapter of Clementine’s story was released in full. While the final season doesn’t follow the same, incredibly simple trophy list format as other Telltale titles, it’s still easy all the same.

Rather than just having to play through all chapters of each episode in the series, this time players have to find all collectibles, as well as interact with certain characters or items at particular times or in a certain way. Still, as long as you use a trophy guide for each episode, you can make sure you grab every last collectible and don’t miss an interaction so that platinum trophy will be all yours.

Sea of Solitude

Sea of Solitude

Sea of Solitude may not have the best gameplay, particularly given how beautifully told its emotional and compelling story is, but if you’re looking for an easy 3D adventure game that touches on the topic of loneliness and presents it in hard-hitting ways, there are worse games you can go for. Even if we were being pretty specific, we’re sure someone is looking for that.

With the help of a video walkthrough, you can complete the entirety of Sea of Solitude, picking up all of its bottles and shooing all of the seagulls you need to get the platinum trophy in less than three hours.

It’s certainly not going to be the game for everyone, but when it comes to easy platinums, there aren’t that many other games that are this easy and half-interesting to play.

Mochi Mochi Boy

easy ps4 platinum trophies

Mochi Mochi Boy is the easiest PS4 platinum trophy we’ve come across in 2019 so far, and that’s because it takes all of 15 minutes to get all 12 of its painfully simple trophies.

What’s possibly even more painful is just how simple this game is when you watch someone complete all of its levels in 12 minutes. I mean, I know there are simple puzzlers, but this one might just take the biscuit.

All you will need to do is switch between the game’s Tower Mode and the Dungeon Mode, which, if we’re entirely honest makes no difference to the gameplay — outside of having to collect slimes in one, and having 10 randomly generated levels in another — and the rest is a cakewalk.

Don’t even use a video guide for this, you really, really won’t need it.

Concrete Genie

easiest ps4 platinum trophies 2019

A minor PS4 exclusive releasing in October 2019, Concrete Genie tells the story of Ash, a young boy who’s sketchbook is taken by bullies and the pages scattered across his hometown of Denska. With the help of a magic brush and some genies, you must recover all of the pages and revitalize his hometown.

Concrete Genie is only a short game. It’ll take you no more than 10 hours to complete, and that includes getting the Platinum trophy. There are 53 trophies total, but many of these pop naturally during a playthrough.

We’ve got a complete trophy list here to help you out, but the game makes a lot of the trophies simple enough to grab. All collectibles you’ll need to find are marked on the map, and most of the environments are small enough that you’ll be able to fully explore them in just a short amount of time.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan

easiest ps4 platinum trophies 2019

Following the success of the critically-acclaimed Until Dawn, Supermassive Games are back this time with Man of Medan. As the precursor of its title suggests, this is part of an anthology of dark, narrative-driven experiences where your choices determine how the game’s events play out.

Man of Medan only has a total of 31 trophies to get, and while you will need to play through the game at least three or four times to get all trophies and the Platinum, few of these are actually hard to do.

A lot of the collectibles can be found without trying, and we’ve got a guide detailing the location of every picture in the game which will help you nab a lot of the other trickier ones. Then it’s simply a case of keeping everyone alive, killing them all, saving all guys and not the girls, and vice versa and that’s pretty much all of them.

Thanks to its short duration and multitude of different endings and branching paths, replaying Man of Medan for the platinum isn’t all that time-consuming and is actually pretty fun, too!

Afterparty

easiest ps4 platinum trophies 2019

Afterparty comes from the same team behind Oxenfree, and it retains much of what made that game so memorable. Witty writing, a charming visual style, and narrative, choice-driven gameplay. Players find themselves in Hell and must outdrink Satan if they want to make it out and return to the real world.

Doing so requires you to play games of beer pong, dance the nights away, play stacking games, drinking copious amounts of alcohol, and getting very drunk.

A lot of Afterparty’s trophies unlock naturally as you progress through the game. However, you will need to play through the game twice in order to beat and then intentionally lose to Satan to get the trophies for these and, ultimately, the Platinum trophy.

Thanks to Afterparty’s relatively short run-time, multiple playthroughs and picking off any outstanding trophies you missed the first time won’t take you any longer than 15 hours.

Be warned, though, the beer pong mini-game is a pain in the ass. Oh, and perfect stacking too. Once you get the knack of this, though, it’s a relative breeze.

Trine 4

easiest ps4 platinum trophies 2019

The Trine series has long been beloved by puzzle platformer. Its gameplay is basic in premise. Make your way through the levels, collect everything you see, and defeat any enemies that get in your way. Trine 4 brings it back with stunning visuals, a magical soundtrack, and a revamped combat system.

To navigate the various different obstacles, players must change between the different members of their party to utilize their unique abilities. It’s all rather relaxing, while retaining some element of challenge.

Clocking in at just under 10 hours, Trine 4’s another one of these titles you can probably platinum in the space of a day or a weekend. Almost all of the trophies require players to simply complete levels with the remainder tasking you with collecting all of the experience, letters, treasures, and knicknacks in the game.

Team Sonic Racing

easiest ps4 platinum trophies 2019

Rounding out our list is Team Sonic Racing. Taking the classic racing genre and turning it on its head a bit, the title splits all racers into teams. Teammates then must work together using team power-ups and weapons to place as high as possible. It’s great fun in both single and multiplayer.

While Team Sonic Racing does have some tricky trophies you’ll need to unlock in its 32 required to get the Platinum trophy, trophy guides and roadmaps like these certainly help to make it more manageable.

One trophy, ‘Speed Painter,’ requires players to play through all races on Expert difficulty. Things like this and completing races without hitting any hazards or respawning can sound tricky, but once you’ve got to grips with Sonic Team Racing’s mechanics, the Platinum trophy is as good as yours if you’re willing to put the circa 20-30 hours in to get it.
