It’s December, which means that the end of 2019 is upon us and a new decade is about to begin. To mark this celebratory moment in time, the PlayStation Store is having an End of the Year Sale with a bunch of great games seeing heavy discounts.
For the full lineup of titles on sale, you can check out the official PS Blog, but if you wanted some pointers on what games you should buy, look no further than this list down below. And just as a heads up, the End of Year Sale ends on Dec. 23 at 8 a.m. PT.
Assassin’s Creed Antiquity Pack
Original Price: $99.99
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Origins are always on sale on basically every digital platform but that doesn’t mean that these two RPGs are less than worthy of being purchased.
This Antiquity Pack includes both of these games for you to try out and they both have dozens of hours of play time, and exploring Ancient Egypt and Greece as an assassin is absolutely amazing.
The worlds are stunning, the combat has been improved from older AC games, and the main characters are exceptionally compelling.
Indivisible
Original Price: $39.99
Indivisible is a unique and charming little JRPG that oozes with style thanks to its hand-drawn art style and the influences from Southeast Asian mythology.
The cast of characters are great and memorable, the combat is fast-paced and intuitive, and the soundtrack is one worth checking out even when you’re not playing.
You can grab it for under $30 right now as part of the PSN End of Year sale.
Resident Evil Triple Pack
Original Price: $59.99
This Resident Evil Triple Pack includes Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 and for a price of about $24, it’s a steal. Resident Evil 4 is such a fantastic horror game that introduced over-the-camera shooters to the world, Resident Evil 5 was a flawed but enjoyable cooperative shooter, and Resident Evil 6 was… Resident Evil 6.
These three games are a great pick if you prefer the more action-oriented segments of Resident Evil games over the slow, puzzly elements of the older titles.
And to be completely honest, as someone who obtained the Platinum trophy for Resident Evil 6, the game isn’t that bad.
If you split up the price by three, each game is basically only about $8 during this End of Year PSN Sale and that’s nothing to complain about.
Shadow of the Colossus
Original Price: $19.99
Shadow of the Colossus on PS4 is a remake of the PS2 classic and it brings the dark and minimalistic adventure game to modern audiences with nice little upgrades and graphical improvements.
To save a young woman in his life, the main hero must wander a barren landscape with the help of his trusty horse to track down and defeat a whopping total of 16 colossi with each one having a different weakness.
Each colossus is a puzzle in and of itself, making the player think outside of the box to come up with strategies to kill them all.
At a price of a measly ten bucks, you can’t go wrong with this one. You can even read our glowing review last year if you’re on the fence. Spoilers: we liked it.
Resogun
Original Price: $14.99
Resogun was originally a PS4 exclusive that launched with the console many years ago, but Housemarque’s arcade shoot ’em up is one of the best that the PS4 has to offer and it still stands up in 2019.
The goal is to destroy and shoot down hordes of space robots and monsters in order to save humans that are trapped. The game is absolutely gorgeous and once you start playing, you won’t want to stop.
If you’re looking for a super cheap title on the End of Year Sale on the PSN Store, this is one of the picks that you will not be disappointed with.
