Splatoon 3 is finally here, and with it, a new light-hearted romp through the world of Squid Kids. Through the game’s story mode, there are plenty of opportunities to blast most everything with ink, explore different zones and maps, and otherwise embark on a mission to help Agent 3 deal with some especially rowdy Octarians. With all this in mind, you may have one big question looming over your future play sessions: How long does Splatoon 3’s story take to beat? Fortunately, we’ve got an answer for you.
How Long Does it Take to Beat Splatoon 3’s Story? Answered
Splatoon 3‘s story can be beaten in under 10 hours and can be knocked out even more quickly, depending on your play style.
If you’re the type that aims to do everything they can in a given gameplay mode, you can expect a playthrough of at least eight or more hours. This is because the story mode has a variety of bells and whistles in addition to the main storyline, including optional Kettle challenges, hidden collectibles to find, and much more.
On the other hand, you could beat the game in as little as four or five hours if you railroad your way through the story. Bare in mind, though, that this will bar you from experiencing all of the story mode’s content, to the point that you may even miss out on playing through entire islands’ worth of material.
As for those that fall in between these two camps, you can expect a playthrough length right around six or seven hours. This should see you through the story without missing any major content, and you won’t need to do anything like play through every single Kettle challenge or other completionist-level endeavors.
Regardless, it’s a fairly breezy story mode that shouldn’t give you much trouble at all. To that end, play through the story in the way that feels best to you, and make sure your time with the game is as enjoyable as possible.
