New Genshin Impact Story Teaser Gives Players a Taste of What’s to Come in Update 1.3

With update 1.3 just a week away, MiHoYo has been slowly releasing new trailers and videos to get fans hyped up for the new content. The developer has just dropped a new story teaser trailer today, offering up some lore about the region of Liyue as well as its guardians. You can check out the teaser for yourself down below.

Of course, Xiao is the most recognizable figure in the video, which is unsurprising considering that he’s set to be the next 5-star character that players will be able to try to roll for when the update drops. Similar to past time-locked characters like Ganyu, Albedo, and Zhongli, Xiao will be a banner character for a few weeks.

This means that players will only have a limited amount of time to roll him on the event banner, though he does have a 50% chance of spawning if you happen to roll a 5-star legendary character.

Update 1.3 is set to be released on Feb. 3. Genshin Impact is now available on consoles, PC, and mobile devices.
