Earlier today we got our first look at Immortals Fenyx Rising since it was first revealed at E3 2019 as Gods & Monsters. Today was the first time we got a closer look at the main character, many new monsters, and a massive amount of gameplay.
This third-person open world action adventure features the main character, Fenyx, on a mission to restore the disenfranchised gods of Olympus back to their former glory.
The story starts out with Fenyx shipwrecked on Golden Isle and she meets the god Hermes shortly after. He informs Fenyx of the peril of the gods and sets them on their mission.
You’ll face many different Greek mythological creatures along the way, but the main baddie you’ll have to look out for is the Titan Typhon. He’s the main villain who dethroned the gods.
The world map in Immortals Fenyx Rising is divided by multiple regions with unique environments. Each one was perviously controlled by gods that need your help. Help them out to bring order back to the Golden Isle.
But before you set out on the mission to restore the glory of the gods, you’ll get to fully customize the appearance of Fenyx. From hair, to face shape to skin color, you can customize just about everything with this main character.
You’ll also collect multiple types of weapon and armor throughout the game that you’ll be able to mix and match.
The gameplay appears to be your standard hack and slash type of combat common in open-world action-adventure titles. But there also appears to be a clip that shows mountain climbing that looks reminiscent of Breath of The Wild. However, they didn’t reveal any details about how mountain climbing will work.
