Of course, we get to see plenty of enemies including insects, frogs, and interesting entries like what appears to be a flying dragon.

The story is set in 2027. The EDF has been driven to the verge of collapse by the war in Earth Defense Force 5, and Storm Team no longer exists even if it appears that Storm 1 is still fighting.

The resources of the Earth Defense Force have been depleted so much that it’s actually difficult to get a clear picture of what’s left.

On the other hand, many aliens have been left on Earth and have started breeding, colonizing several cities, and growing in numbers.

Incidentally, we also see how enemies can regenerate lost limbs like arms or legs.

You can check out all the screenshots below.

At the moment Earth Defense Force 6 is known to be coming in 2021. Platforms have not been announced just yet.

Another EDF game, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, is coming this year for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

At the moment, no western releases have been announced for either game, which isn’t surprising since they have been revealed just recently.

He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
