SEGA and G Fuel Cook Up Sonic the Hedgehog Energy Drink

Tired of drinking Red Bull when you need to conquer your fellow players in online gaming sessions or, if you’re a college student, need to pull an all-nighter to study for a big exam the next morning? SEGA is offering up a new power-up option, as they have partnered with G Fuel to create a brand new Sonic the Hedgehog energy drink appropriately named Sonic’s Peach Rings.

G Fuel formulated the Blue Blur’s new energy drink to give it the flavor of the Peach Rings gummy candy.

The drinks will also come in powdered form in 40-serving tubs and in collector’s boxes that include the serving cups.

Michael Cisneros, manager of licensing for SEGA of America, had this to say about the drink that’s sure to make people get things done faster than the speed of sound and their partnership with the gaming community’s well-renowned energy drink company.

“We’re ecstatic to partner with such an established energy drink company in the gaming community to bring Sonic’s Peach Rings to market. Sonic the Hedgehog has always been a character that embodies perseverance and endurance, which are qualities that are central to G Fuel’s product. We can’t wait for Sonic fans to enjoy it!”

This is not the first energy drink Sonic has cooked up. Stores like Hot Topic and Spencer’s have carried Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Energy Drink, bearing the image of Classic Sonic of course, for quite a long time.

We may not have gotten news of a new Sonic game for his birthday today, but a new energy drink may as well be his best birthday present ever.

Sonic’s Peach Rings will be available August 12, 2020.
