Persona 4 was originally released for the PS2 before being re-released for the PS Vita as Persona 4 Golden. It’s finally coming to PC this month, though, which marks the series’ official debut on the platform. Aside from dungeon-crawling and going through the main story, there are a few side activities you can participate in as well. Here’s how to catch bugs in Persona 4 Golden.
Catching Bugs in Persona 4 Golden
Before you can start catching bugs in the game, first you’ll need to get a net. Thankfully, this is pretty easy to do, and you can get one once you’re able to start leaving the house during the evening.
Head to Tatsuhime Shrine at night, and look for the lady in white standing near the shrine itself. Do note that your courage level needs to be at Reliable before you can even explore the shrine, so you’ll have to level up that stat a little before you can get the net.
Talk to the lady in white twice; the first time she’ll ask for a Red Goldfish, and the second time she’ll ask you if you know about the net on the roof. Say yes, and you’ll be rewarded with the net.
Now, you can start catching bugs at Tatsuhime Shrine during the daytime. Head to the shrine and interact with it, and the bug mini-game will begin. Whenever the exclamation mark appears above the main character’s head, press the X button (or A button if you’re using an Xbox One controller) to swing the net. If you manage to swing it perfectly, you’ll catch more bugs, and if your timing is off, the number of bugs you catch will decrease.
Bugs are primarily used as fish bait for the fishing mini-game, and can help you catch the legendary Sea Guardian as well.
That’s all you need to know about how to catch bugs in Persona 4 Golden. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
