Final Fantasy 7 Remake: How to Play Darts

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was originally announced back at E3 2015, during Sony’s press conference, and now it’s finally out in the wild. This is a full, from the ground up remake of the classic 1997 PS1 game, and allows players to revisit a new and improved version of Midgar. It packs a lot of the same story beats, along with a few new things to check out as well. Here’s how to play darts in Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Once you clear the first two chapters of the game and get to the Sector 7 slums, you’ll be able to visit the iconic Seventh Heaven bar. Here, you can engage in a game of darts by interacting with the dartboard on the wall, right next to the jukebox.

Press the triangle button to start the game, and you’re good to go. Your aim is to get your score down as close to zero as possible in as few darts as you can. When the game starts, you’ll see a reticle floating around onscreen, and you can control it by holding down the left stick. However, it’s very unwieldy, and you’ll need to tilt the stick down gently to control your aim. You can then press the X button to throw the dart.

Your goal here is to watch for the inner circle within the reticle –once it closes in, press the X button at that exact moment to land a perfect or great throw, depending on how good your timing was.

If you manage to get your score down to zero in less than eight darts, you’ll reach the top of the Avalanche leaderboard and receive a prize from Wedge later on. As the group members are celebrating and getting ready for their next mission, talk to Wedge in Seventh Heaven and he’ll hand over the purple Luck Up Materia. It’s a small reward, but can come in handy for grinding or farming sessions.
