Darksiders Genesis – New Switch Games (February 2020)
Darksiders Genesis is a bit different from past Darksiders titles as it’s a top-down dungeon crawler similar to Diablo instead of a third-person action game like Darksiders 3.
It manages to fully capture the essence of Darksiders while having a really fun and engaging combat system. If you’re a fan of the series and are looking for a different take on the genre, Darksiders Genesis is a great choice.
Darksiders Genesis will launch on the Switch on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2020.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition – New Switch Games (February 2020)
Capcom has been showing nothing but love and support for the Nintendo Switch by porting over a ton of the Japanese company’s classic titles. Pretty much of the entire Resident Evil franchise is available on the hybrid console and now Devil May Cry is slowly making its way over.
The third title in the hack and slack franchise features a younger Dante and takes place before the events of the first game. You can expect some slick combat, tons of sweet combos to pull off, and frenetic/fast-paced action that the series is known for.
This port comes to the Switch on Feb. 20.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection – New Switch Games (February 2020)
Capcom is releasing yet another Mega Man collection on the Nintendo Switch and this time it’s the Mega Man Zero/ZX games that originally came out on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.
These excellent 2D action-platformers are cherished as some of the best Mega Man titles out there and this collection includes six games for only $29.99 which is a steal if you ask me.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is set to launch on Feb. 25.
Samurai Shodown – New Switch Games (February 2020)
Samurai Showdown is a return to form for the SNK fighting series and instead of focusing on fast gameplay and combos like games such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, the fighting style here is much slower and methodical with both players feeling the impact of every heavy slash.
Our reviewer, Eric Egavian, thoroughly enjoyed his time with the PS4 version of the game when it launched last year –here’s what he had to say:
“The core weapon-based fighting action brings some fresh and interesting concepts to the table that you really can’t find in any other fighting game on the market right now, maybe unless you consider Soul Calibur VI a fair comparison.
If you fancy samurai mythology with a Japanese ink brush aesthetic and/or you’ve just been looking for a 2.5D style, weapon-based fighting game, I think Samurai Shodown is a very solid choice.”
Samurai Shodown is set to launch on the Switch on Feb. 25, 2020.
