What is the Season of Dawn Power Level in Destiny 2?

Just like in previous expansions for Destiny 2, Season of Dawn is set to increase the max Power Level cap from the previous update, Season of Undying.

Where the max level cap was at 960 in Season of Undying, the new maximum is going to be 10 higher, totaling up to 970.

Now that you know what the new Power Level ceiling is, let’s talk about how to reach it.

How to Reach 970 in Season of Dawn

In order to gain the extra 10 light required to reach the max, you’re going to have to get pinnacle weapon and armor drops. The only way to earn these is by completing pinnacle activities within Shadowkeep and Season of Dawn.

Two of those activities include Master Nightmare Hunts and the Pit of Heresy Dungeon, both of which can be run once per week, per character, for a pinnacle drop.

You can also run the raid, Garden of Salvation, which if you’ve been practicing it from last season, shouldn’t be too hard at this point as long as you can find a decent team to get it done with. The raid offers you the most pinnacle armor and weapons for your time, and can be run once per week, per character.

Another way to break through the 970 Power Level gap is leveling your new seasonal artifact, The Lantern of Osiris. Like last season, as you gain XP, you’ll slowly gain free power increases with no maximum cap whatsoever.

To summarize, here is what the max Season of Dawn Power Level in Destiny 2:

  1. The level increased from 960 to 970.

  2. Complete Pinnacle Activites to Level.

These include Master Nightmare Hunts, the Raid and the Pit of Heresy Dungeon (once per week, per character).

  3. Level Up Seasonal Artifact: Lantern of Osiris

That is everything you need to know about the Season of Dawn Power Level and how to reach it in Destiny 2.
