MGSV PSA: Check the Medical Platform for a Secret Scene

MIND. BLOWN.

There are tons of Easter eggs in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and if you’re not careful, or if you’re not exploring enough, you could miss some really good ones. As it turns out, there’s a really important hidden scene on your Medical Platform back on Mother Base. For those who wish to find out what it is for themselves, head straight to the platform, and check the third level for a door with a blue light. Head inside, watch the cutscene, and have your mind blown.

Spoilers ahead!

Big Boss discovers Paz in the room, and she’s reading a textbook from our old friend Ramon Galvez Mena. She also has no recollection whatsoever of the events that occurred nine years ago in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. A quick cutscene reveals that Big Boss and the chopper medic had actually removed both bombs from Paz’s body, but she still jumped into the water in panic. And what caused the explosion, you ask? It was simply a rocket from an enemy chopper.

Kaz and Ocelot managed to retrieve Paz from the ocean. However, she now suffers from amnesia and is unable to tell you anything about Cipher or Skull Face. As it stands, Paz now thinks she’s still in 1974 and that she’s nothing but a simple student.

It looks like we’ll be able to find more photos or items throughout the course of the game and show them to Paz to try to jog her memory. But right now, she’s completely useless in terms of intel and information.
