Link’s Awakening is a 1:1 remake of the Game Boy classic and while it brings a few changes to the top-down Zelda title, most things remain the same. If you’re wondering how to get the honeycomb and what to do with it in Link’s Awakening, here’s what you need to know.

How to Get Honeycomb

Once you complete the third dungeon in the game, the Key Cavern, you will find Tarin in Ukuku Prairie standing near a tree with a beehive.

He’ll ask for a stick that you should’ve already gotten from Kiki the monkey near Kanalet Castle. Once he shoos away the bees, the honeycomb will fall on the floor, ready for the taking.

If you’ve yet to get the stick, make sure to check out our Trading Quest Sequence guide for more info.

Trading the Honeycomb

Once you have the honeycomb in your inventory, head on over to Animal Village, which is found in the southeastern section of Koholint Island.

Find the house with Chef Bear inside and he’ll be next to you a huge pot. Offer him the honeycomb for his recipe and he’ll then give you a Pineapple.

To sum things up:

  1. After completing the third dungeon, the Key Cavern, you can find Tarin standing next to a beehive in Ukuku Prairie, just east of the fast travel spot.

  2. Give Tarin the stick that you’ve received got from Kiki the Monkey near Kanalet Castle.

  3. He’ll swat at the bees with the stick and then you’ll be able to pick up the honeycomb from the floor.

  4. Then, when you go to Animal Village, give the honeycomb to Chef Bear and you’ll get a pineapple in return.

And that is pretty much all you need to know about how to get the honeycomb and what to do with it in Link’s Awakening.
