The latest Kickstarter-funded title has finally arrived in the form of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The game sees assume the role of orphan Miriam as they try and navigate a demon-filled castle in the hope of stopping their body from getting completely crystallized thanks to an alchemist’s curse. If you’re looking to up the challenge, here’s how to unlock all difficulty levels.
Unlocking Difficulty Levels
There are two different ways you can unlock the various difficulty modes in the game. The first and more time-consuming way to do this is to go ahead and complete the game on Normal difficulty.
This will unlock Hard, which you’ll then also need to complete a playthrough of the game on in order to unlock the Nightmare difficulty. Fortunately, there’s a way to unlock them all fast.
To unlock all difficulty modes in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, simply start a new save file from the main menu screen. Name the file ‘NIGHTMARE’ and you’ll unlock all difficulty modes in Ritual of the Night in one quick and easy input.
How to Change Difficulty Settings in Ritual of the Night
It’s worth noting that you cannot change difficulty once you’ve started a game. You’ll only be able to select what difficulty you want to play through Ritual of the Night at when you create a save file. If you want to change after that, you’ll have to start over.
