Considering that Senran Kagura’s popularity is strongly rooted in the beauty of its characters, it’s not surprising that it often receives new figures from a variety of Japanese manufacturers.
Having debuted only five years ago in Shinovi Versus, Gessen Girls’ Academy second-year student Yozakura is fairly new to the cast, but she acquired quite a lot of dedicated fans over the years. She is also portrayed by an upcoming figure by Tokyo-based manufacturer Hobby Stock.
This specific figure is based on an illustration by traditional Senran Kagura artist Nan Yaegashi originally appeared in the mobile game Shinobi Master Senran Kagura: New Link, and it’s available for pre-order at several retailers, including AmiAmi and Hobby Stock’s own store (the content at the links is slightly NSFW).
The price is 19,440 yes, which translates roughly into $176. Sculpted by Ajiken and painted by Wandai, she is approximately 220 cm tall with 1/6 scale (Yozakura is fairly short), and she is made with the usual mix of ABS and PVC.
As an additional little feature, she comes with replacement parts that simulate her broken costume state. Yozakura will be released in Japan in August 2019.
