How to Get Snorlax in Pokemon Let’s Go
Snorlax is one of the many ‘mons you can get your hands on in the remake. This huge bear is a formidable tank that can also dish out some powerful physical attacks. If you want one in your team, here’s how to get a Snorlax in Pokemon Let’s Go.
Series veterans will probably remember that Snorlax acts as one of the literal roadblocks on your journey. The same rings true in Pokemon Let’s Go, as it is sleeping in front of a bridge near Vermillion City. You won’t be able to wake it up no matter what you do unless you have the special Poke Flute in your inventory.
How to Get the Poke Flute
To get this item in Pokemon Let’s Go, you’ll need to complete the Lavender Town story mission that involves getting your hands on the Silph Scope. After you clear out the Team Rocket base at Celedon City, the mafia’s boss will hand over the goggles you can use to progress through the tower.
You will find Mr. Fuji at the top of the tower, who will need your help. Once that’s over, he will reward you with the Poke Flute to awaken any sleeping Snorlax blocking your path. The easiest way to find a Snorlax in Pokemon Let’s Go is by heading east from Vermillion City. You can also head south of Lavender Town.
Where to Find Snorlax
There’s a huge bridge blocked off by the sleeping ‘mon, so use your Poke Flute to wake it up. You’ll then have the option to either run away or catch it. As with every other ‘mon, you’ll have to line up your shots when throwing your Poke Ball.
The flute doesn’t have much use outside of this event as there aren’t any other sleeping Snorlax blocking your path in Pokemon Let’s Go. If you accidentally fled or failed to catch it, you can always find more waddling around in the Cerulean Cave. More importantly, however, you can finally continue your journey with that ‘mon out of your way.
That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how to get a Snorlax in the game. If you’re looking for a few more tips and tricks, be sure to check out our expansive wiki for Pokemon Let’s Go. There are tons of other guides that will help you on your journey.
