How to Complete the Pokemon GO Spooky Message Research Tasks & All Rewards
Here’s how to complete the Pokemon GO Spooky Message Research Tasks and what all the rewards are.
As in previous years, Niantic has gone all in on the Pokemon GO Halloween celebrations, which coincide with the released of Gen 4 Pokemon.
One of the new features, which ties into Halloween and new Pokemon, is the Spooky Message Special Research Tasks that culminate in you getting the chance to catch Spiritomb.
While the Pokemon GO Spooky Message tasks work in the same way as others, this is the first time that we’ve seen them for a Pokemon that isn’t a legendary. Spiritomb simply ties into the holiday and is a cool Pokemon.
The Spooky Message Special Research Tasks should already be live in your game, or you’ll be introduced to them next time you start the game up.
They are also split up into three sections, with you having to complete all the tasks in one set to move onto the next. Here are all the requirements to complete the tasks and what they reward you with.
Part 1
Tasks:
- Catch 10 Ghost-Type Pokémon – Duskull Pokémon encounter
- Make 8 Great Throws – 1080 XP
- Use 108 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Lickitung Pokémon encounter (You don’t have to catch the Pokemon for this to count, you just need to use one in an attempt.)
Rewards:
- 10x Poké Ball
- 1080x Stardust
- 8x Silver Pinap Berry
Part 2
Tasks:
- Catch 10 Dark-Type Pokémon – Misdreavus Pokémon encounter
- Spin 8 PokéStops you haven’t visited before – 1080XP
- Catch 108 Pokémon – Spiritomb Pokémon Encounter
Rewards:
- 10x Poké Balls
- 1080x Stardust
- 8x Silver Pinap Berry
Part 3
Tasks:
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
All you have to do here is claim the rewards to show that you’ve completed all the tasks. You then get Spiritomb candy that allows you to Power Up the Pokemon.
Rewards:
- 18x Spiritomb Candy
- 1080 Stardust.
