How to Get Spiritomb in Pokemon GO Halloween Event
Acquiring Spiritomb, the fourth-gen Ghost/Dark-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO requires the completion of a special research task similar to the mythical Pokemon quests that you needed to do in order to get Celebi and Mew.
The research task this time around is titled “A Spooky Message” and is only three quests long, which is short compared to the eight-part Mythical Discovery quest. Spiritomb isn’t a legendary Pokemon by any means, but if you complete these short steps, then you’ll be gifted this spooky Pokemon as a reward.
Here’s how to complete each step of A Spooky Message (via Eurogamer):
Step 1/3
- Catch 10 Ghost-type Pokemon
- Make 8 Great Throws
- Use 108 Berries to help catch Pokemon
Rewards for completing Step 1: 10x Poké Ball, 1080x Stardust, 8x Silver Pinap Berry
Step 2/3
- Catch 10 Dark-type Pokémon – Misdreavus Pokémon encounter
- Spin 8 PokéStops you haven’t visited before – 1080XP
- Catch 108 Pokémon – Spiritomb Pokémon Encounter
Rewards for completing Step 2: 10x Poké Balls, 1080x Stardust, 8x Silver Pinap Berry
Step 3/3
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
- Claim Reward – 1080XP
Rewards for completing Step 3: 18x Spiritomb Candy, 1080x Stardust.
As you can see, these tasks more than doable in a short amount of time. The hardest part will probably be to use 108 berries and catch 108 Pokemon but if you set a lure and just spam berries in Pokemon battles, Spiritomb will be yours in no time flat. You’ll be one step closer to completing the Pokedex until the fifth generation of Pokemon come along at least.
