Splatoon 2’s Halloween Splatfest Ends with a Victory for #TeamTreat

In a 2-1 victory over Team Trick, Team Treat claimed victory over Splatoon 2's Halloween themed Splatfest event.

The results of the Splatoon 2 Halloween themed Splatfest are finalized. The Nintendo Versus Twitter account confirmed that in a 2-1 victory over Team Trick, the Treats took the win in this special edition of Splatfest. Despite receiving a lesser amount of votes than Team Trick, Team Treat managed to dominate both the Normal and Pro categories of the event. In this scenario, it seems skill prospered over popularity. The event lasted two days which gave both teams enough time to try and contribute to their side’s win ratio.

Splatfest is a semi-monthly event in Splatoon 2. It encourages players of all skill levels to participate in the game mode Turf Wars. Turf Wars is the most beginner friendly of Splatoon 2’s numerous game modes. Whoever covers the majority of the map with ink, gets the victory over the opposing team.

Previous Splatfest events in Splatoon have included Pulp vs. No Pulp, Action vs. Comedy, and Baseball vs. Soccer. Last year’s Halloween Splatfest asked players to pick a side between Vampires and Werewolves.

This particular Splatfest proved to be a close match-up with the Normal category being within a .22% margin of victory. The Pro category had a bit more of a discrepancy, but because the Trick team scored the point from the Votes category, had they won just a few more matches they may have been able to change the tides in their favor. With this Splatfest in the books, it will be about a month before the next one is unveiled in Splatoon 2.

The scoreboard can be seen in Nintendo Versus’ tweet below.
