Is Starlink Coming to PC?
Starlink: Battle for Atlas is the latest entry into the toys-to-life genre, this time from Ubisoft. Rather than having its own licensed characters and worlds already, as was the case with Disney Infinity and LEGO Dimensions, Starlink sees players lead a team of heroic interstellar pilots on dangerous missions across space to stop the evil Grax from taking over the galaxy. The toys-to-life aspect of Starlink comes in the form of modular starship toys and accessories, allowing players to use their customized craft in-game against the forces of Grax. While it’s known for certain that the game will release on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 in October this year, some PC owners may be wondering if they can get in on the sci-fi toys-to-life fun.
Unfortunately, at this moment in time, Starlink: Battle for Atlas is only confirmed for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4, with no official announcement that the game will get a PC release having been made as of yet. This wouldn’t be the first time a toys-to-life title has missed the PC, with LEGO Dimensions having only released on home consoles.
If Starlink sees particular success on the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4, there’s always the possibility that Ubisoft could decide to port the title to PC as well. However, for now, it’s not looking promising. Imagine how many cool modding possibilities there could be for a PC port? We can always dream!
For those of you who are lucky to have a Nintendo Switch, picking up Starlink will net you exclusive Star Fox content, including playable Fox McCloud, and some bonus Star Wolf missions to boot.
