There’s a sense of pride you get from looking over your thriving farm in Stardew Valley. Seeing your livestock happy, your crops thriving, and your collection of rare ores and minerals from the cave glistening. Sure, you can share all of this agricultural success with one of the NPC bachelors or bachelorettes, but, well, their dialog isn’t the same kind of encouraging or impressed remarks we’d like. Thankfully, Stardew Valley is getting multiplayer, meaning not only can you and your friends marvel at your money-making farm together, but you can employ them for some quick and easy work around the farm, too. Here’s what you need to know to play Stardew Valley with your friends on Xbox One.

Unfortunately, while developer ConcernedApe revealed today that the PC version would be getting the update on Aug. 1, we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer to play Stardew Valley’s multiplayer on Xbox One.

According to the trailer that accompanied the PC multiplayer announcement, it was noted that “Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch multiplayer updates coming soon.” Though this might come as disappointing news, here’s hoping that by ‘soon’ that means we’ll have the multiplayer update on Xbox One and other platforms by the end of the year.

As soon as we hear any information on when Stardew Valley’s multiplayer update is hitting the Xbox One, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know. We’ll also update the post when the update finally does hit the console versions of the game with full details on exactly how to toil away on your farm with your friends.

And there you have all you need to know currently about the status of Stardew Valley’s multiplayer on Xbox One. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
