Life is Strange 2 Will Bring Us Its Unique Brand of Narrative This Fall

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Life is Strange 2 finally has a release date, and it’s coming to all platforms, including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this fall. If you’ve been patiently waiting for the next installment in this narrative adventure series, you can finally mark it down on your calendar for this September.

The newest addition to the Life is Strange series will focus on a different series of characters, rather than continuing Chloe and Max’s story, though nothing has been confirmed thus far regarding who the story will revolve around. It could be that we see more about the protagonist Chris from the upcoming free installment of The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, but we won’t get to try out that free episode until next week on June 26.

The second set of episodes will span five different parts, and hopefully we’ll see a new mechanic in play this time around, like that of Chloe’s Backtalk ability, or Max’s special time-rewinding powers. Dontnod has remained silent on essentially all details regarding what the new season will revolve around, but has stated via the official Life is Strange Twitter that it will be releasing more information further down the line in August, ahead of Life is Strange 2’s debut.

For now, you can check out the brief teaser for the game’s release date reveal below. It’s set to come out on Sep. 27, and we’ll be ready with our popcorn and tissues, if need be.
