Grim Fandango Remastered Brings Manny Calavera to Switch

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

During Double Fine Productions’ Grim Fandango 20th anniversary reading at the E3 Coliseum, the team announced that the game would soon be making its way to Nintendo Switch. That’s great news, especially if you’re a big fan of the point and click games of yesteryear, and the remastered version of this hilarious adventure is well worth the entry price, especially if you can take it with you on the go.

You’ll follow skeletal travel agent Manny Calavera as he sells travel packages to souls who are departing this world. He soon finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that threatens his livelihood — and his salvation. You’ll jump into action to unravel the mystery before it’s too late, for Manny and, well, his eternity.

Right now, unfortunately, there’s no proposed release date for the game’s Switch iteration, but it should be coming down the line soon, and we’re excited to play it for the umpteenth time on the handheld, because yes, it’s that good. If you’ve never experienced Manny’s tale, it’s a great time to jump in and give it a whirl whenever it does finally touch down on Nintendo’s popular console. If you like mysterious tales and humor, there’s plenty to enjoy here.
