Bethesda Provides New Details on Fallout: 76

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Today at E3, Bethesda provided more details on the recently teased Fallout 76. Rumors have been swirling around the game, and Bethesda is still keeping themselves fairly tight lipped on the game, likely releasing more details tonight at their own live event.

Fallout 76 will be a prequel to all previous Fallout games, with a map nearly 4 times the size of Fallout 4. You are one of the first to emerge from your Vault into the wasteland, finding it a very different place than it we have seen in previous Fallout titles.

The wasteland here is one that did not experience a large amount of nuclear fallout, with lush trees and an awful a lot of growing plant life. While this could be the result of a lack of nuclear attacks, there are theories that it may be something more.

Tune in for the BE3, Bethesda’s Conference, at 6:30pm PT, 9:30 pm ET tonight, June 10.

If you missed the Bethesda Conference, we have an updated post about Fallout: 76 here, with details from the conference included.

The game was revealed on May 30, 2018, after a long live stream that left many fans thinking the announcement was going to be Fallout 3 Remastered due to the upcoming tenth anniversary. Fans were then surprised at the announcement of an entirely new title, with a then undisclosed release date.
