After the release of the critically acclaimed Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Hideo Kojima parted ways with former employer Konami and set up Kojima Productions. Its upcoming title, Death Stranding, has so far included collaborations with the likes of Norman Reedus, Guillermo del Toro, and Mads Mikkelsen. Here’s whether or not Death Stranding is coming to PC.
Death Stranding PC – What You Need to Know
Well, we can now confirm that Death Stranding is coming to PC. Kojima Productions announced today that following the release of the game on PS4 on Nov. 8, Death Stranding will be coming to PC in early Summer 2020.
Originally, we noted that it was unlikely Death Stranding would come to PC, as while Kojima Productions isn’t a first-party Sony studio, it did make an agreement to bring Death Stranding exclusively to the PS4.
However, it seems as though this may have been a timed exclusivity deal for Sony’s system, or perhaps just to prevent Microsoft from snagging the iconic developer and his team following his departure from Konami.
Original Story:
Unfortunately, we’ve got to give you bad news this time around. Death Stranding currently isn’t slated to come to PC, and probably won’t be any time in the future, either. Kojima Productions isn’t a first-party Sony studio, but an agreement was signed in order to bring Death Stranding exclusively to the PS4.
Though there’s always a chance that, following the completion of the deal, Kojima Productions could release the title on other platforms, this has yet to be announced.
We’ll be sure to update this post as and when any information regarding Death Stranding coming to PC is shared with us. For now, though, it’s just a case of crossing those fingers and hoping for the best.
