The upcoming Action RPG Indivisible from developer Lab Zero Games has officially been delayed to the first half of 2019.
In a statement made on Indivisible’s official website, the team at Lab Zero Games has stated that the game will be delayed from it’s original planned released date of late 2018 in order to “make it the game we know it can be”. The decision was apparently not taken lightly, as the developer desperately tried to push the game out on time, but various tweaks and performance testing issues forced its hand.
Thankfully, Lab Zero has promised it has no intention of cutting down content originally planned for Indivisible, and has even hired a new Lead Writer and a new Lead Level Designer in an effort to certainly meet the updated launch window. Its publisher, 505 games, is helping to assist funding efforts, and Lab Zero will be tossing in a portion of its Skullgirls royalties as well.
Indivisible was originally announced back in 2015, piquing the interest of the gaming community off the back the developer’s last success, Skullgirls, as well as a rather handy free demo that showed off its hybrid platformer/action RPG gameplay. It tells the story of Ajna, a young woman whose home is besieged by warlords and she fends them off with the help of a sudden set of mysterious powers, prompting her to embark on an epic journey to seek revenge and discover the origin of her abilities. The game was successfully crowdfunded on Indiegogo, surpassing its $1,500,000 goal inside a two-month campaign.
Indivisible is now planned for release on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Early 2019.
