“Days Gone will now be releasing in 2019 and we will keep you updated on the launch date,” said the representative. The game never had an official release date and was simply given an expected launch window of 2018 by the publisher.

No other details or further information on Days Gone’s delay were provided, though the developer may enlighten fans in the coming months.

The post-apocalyptic zombie title was announced two years during Sony’s 2016 E3 press conference and takes place in the Pacific Northwest, presumably around the Seattle area. Players will be able to take on the role of Deacon St. John, a former mercenary armed to the teeth with a litany of skills that help him survive in a decrepit, pandemic-invested world.

Fans were last treated to a look of the title in action at E3 last year, allowing them a chance to witness how exactly night and day cycles affect the game’s zombie hordes. At night, the enemies grow wild and restless whereas during the day, they’re calm and easy to subdue.
