PlatinumGames’ Kamiya Jokingly Tries to Blackmail Nintendo for VC and Cross Shape D-Pad

PlatinumGames’ designer Hideki Kamiya made a not so subtle, but extremely likely tongue-in-cheek threat at Nintendo this morning ahead of the Nintendo Direct later tonight.

If you don't announce Virtual console and new Joy-Con with cross shape d-pad, we may lose motivation for developing Bayo 3. Understand, Ninty?

His demands are clear: tonight “Ninty” had better announce the Virtual Console for the Switch and unveil a new Joy-Con with the traditional cross shape d-pad. If these demands are not met, Platinum Games might “lose motivation” for developing Bayonetta 3. Kamiya, is extremely active Twitter and is well known for being frank and fun with his followers.
