Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the latest in the popular Marvel vs. Capcom franchise, and while it is not as popular as other entries, it now sports a feature they’re missing: Xbox Play Anywhere

For those of you not familiar with Xbox Play Anywhere, it’s a little incentive for buying games on the Xbox One or through the Microsoft Marketplace. Xbox Play Anywhere games can be downloaded on both an Xbox One console or Windows 10 PC (sorry, no support for Windows 7 or 8 computers). Any progress players make on one platform is saved to the other, so gamers won’t have to worry about beating a particularly difficult enemy in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite on the Xbox One and then suffering through the fight all over again on PC. Xbox Play Anywhere also features a sizable library of titles, some of which allow Xbox One players to team up with PC owners through crossplay. Standout Xbox Play Anywhere games include Cuphead, ARK: Survival Evolved, and Gears of War 4. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the latest game to join their ranks. Moreover, the game has received a sizable price drop on the Microsoft Store and is only $39.99, while the PlayStation and Steam versions remain at $59.99. Gamers who plan to purchase Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite for their Windows 10 computers should know the game requires at least an Intel Core i3-4160, 6 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has not been well-received by fans and critics. Many criticize the game’s small roster (which has been somewhat rectified with DLC characters such as Venom, Black Panther, Sigma, and Monster Hunter) and the replacement of the long-running three-character team system with the two-character-plus-one-Infinity-Stone system. Some of the game’s problems can be chalked up to its budget, which was purportedly half that of Street Fighter V’s DLC. Regardless, while controversial, many gamers seem to enjoy the game, and the price-drop and Xbox Play Anywhere functionality will likely convince some gamers to pick up the game.
