Overwatch Is Getting Another Free Weekend Following Valentine’s Day

This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

If you still haven’t played Overwatch and haven’t given into one of the many sales out there on the game, you’ve got another opportunity to play again during the upcoming free weekend. This time, it’s taking place from Feb. 16 through Feb. 19, which should give you time to get through the Valentine’s Day festivities you have planned, and then the opportunity to get in on the current Overwatch: Year of the Dog event going on right now.

You’ll be able to play with all 26 heroes and 17 maps during the free weekend, as well as modes including Quick Play, Custom Games, and Arcade. You can even level up, nab loot boxes, and and earn other customization options. If you make some decent progress, you can bring it over into the full game if you decide to purchase it. The offer is available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, but you need to make sure you use the same account you played during the free weekend on to get those perks.

There’s a ton of new cosmetic items including skins, sprays, and more up for grabs right now, so it’s probably the best time to play Overwatch if you’re new to the game and want to see what the loot box game is all about. Just don’t get addicted. It’s super easy to.
