You can’t break the dream team! BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be completing the RWBY girls – and for free! The game is slated to launch with 20 characters in its roster, with another 20 fighters following later as DLC. Strangely, only two main characters from the RWBY animated series, Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee, were included in the initial cast. With only RW complete, some fans were a bit worried about having to pay for the BY girls, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long.
To clear up the issue, Arc System Works took to Twitter and announced that both said characters will be added as free DLC for all players. While the base game won’t come with the complete squad, at least fans won’t have to worry about spending more to complete the all-female huntress group.

That aside, the recent announcement also acts as Yang’s official reveal in the game. She hadn’t been brought up until now, though she was bound to appear as a playable character at some point. So far, we’ve only seen a short teaser for Blake, and they still haven’t shared when these two characters will come to the game.
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle will be launching this June 5 for the PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
